Shameek Chattopadhyay

Shameek specialises in the authoring and auditing of resource estimates in accordance with International Reporting Codes. He has more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry, which includes planning and managing exploration projects for junior exploration companies, designing and reviewing the QAQC protocols, geological modelling and geostatistical analyses using specialised software, resource estimation and reporting in accordance with the CRIRSCO type public reporting guidelines, auditing exploration and mining assets as part of the due diligence studies and Competent Person’s Reports, and managing feasibility studies.

Shameek has worked in multiple commodities in different style of mineralisation, including iron ore, bauxite, chromite, manganese, base metal, precious metals, diamond, battery minerals and industrial mineral projects in more than 30 countries across the world. Shameek is a member of multiple professional societies and is the past secretary of the Mining Engineers’ Association of India, Kolkata Chapter. He is also one of the founding members of the National Committee for Reporting Mineral Resources and Reserves in India (NACRI), the committee that is overseeing the implementation of the CRIRSCO type public reporting code in India.
